India’s growing digital infrastructure and government-backed LLM initiative—supported by over 18,600 GPUs—signal progress toward AI self-reliance.
A major advantage for India lies in multilingual AI. With its linguistic and cultural diversity, India can build inclusive, socially impactful AI systems that serve both local and global needs.
Khare stresses that retaining talent will determine whether India leads the AI revolution or follows it. With the right policies, funding, and vision, India can transform from a talent exporter into a global hub of innovation.
