From sophisticated gatherings in the Park Cities to high-energy backyard bashes in Plano, Dallas is a city of great hospitality and even greater bold flavors. With hospitality and seasoning as a craft, the event hosts in Dallas are no amateurs. While traditional catering is always an option, the modern host seeks something more—an experience that blends fine dining and first-class entertainment. This demand has fueled the rapid growth of Mobile Hibachi in Dallas, a service that transforms your backyard into a Japanese steakhouse.
The core principles of our events in Austin, Jacksonville, and Long Island that made Hibachi With Us successful are now fully adapted for North Texas. No more buffet lines—now, we’re bringing the teppanyaki grill to your doorstep! The restaurant hibachi experience, brought to your home.
Bringing the Restaurant Experience Home
Hibachi has always meant community and entertainment. People typically associate hibachi with busy restaurants and sharing tables with strangers. With Mobile Hibachi Dallas, you get to keep all of that magic while removing all of the restaurant inconveniences.
When you book Hibachi With Us, you get a fully equipped professional chef with a portable grill, top-quality ingredients, and grill skills that will keep the audience engaged. People will make comments to your chef about the grill and will get to experience the famous onion volcano! Your guests will have plenty of entertainment and will be fully engaged long before your first course gets served.
The Logistics: Setting the Stage in Your Backyard
We bring the “show”, and from experience, you will need to do some prep work to keep the “show” safe and enjoyable for everyone.
- Culinary Cooking:Safety regulations require that our chefs must cook on-site and outdoors. The grills produce high heat and wonderful (but significant) smoke. As a result, Mobile Hibachi Dallas is ideal for backyards, big patios, or even driveways. If you’re booked at an Airbnb or rental, please make sure there is an appropriate outdoor surface for our grills.
- Weather:Texas is known for its unpredictable weather. We cook in the rain, but our grill and chef need to stay dry. To avoid a “washout,” we must have a covered area (patio roof, pop-up tent) available to us. This allows us to keep the food hot and keep the show flowing.
- Sufficient Cooking Space: Chefs require a flat and even surface of about 10’ x 10’ to move about freely and to operate. We supply the food and the chef, while the host supplies the “dining room” (tables and chairs) and, of course, we leave it up to you to provide the drinks!
A Curated Culinary Performance
Every meal served at a Mobile Hibachi in Dallas event is skillfully crafted for maximum satisfaction. Due to the limitations of our mobile kitchen, we put a tremendous amount of thought into the quality of the ingredients we use. Many of our guests choose to dine from the “pick two” menu. Customer favorites from the menu include the Filet Mignon, shrimp, scallops, and chicken.
Each meal is served with our signature fried rice, and vegetables, all freshly cooked right in front of the customers. This unique experience of personalization is unmatched in catering. Unlike standard catering, our chefs customize meals on the spot. If one event attendee wants a medium-rare steak while another is in the mood for a well-done steak, our chefs customize the meals right on the spot. Dietary restrictions, including gluten free and vegetarian meals, can be accommodated with prior notice at the point of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can the chef cook inside our garage or kitchen?
No. In the interest of safety and to prevent fire, our Hibachi chefs cook only in open-air environments. This way, there is a good air flow to deal with the smoke and heat from the teppanyaki grill.
Q: What happens if it rains on the day of my event?
Hibachi With Us works in rain or shine. The host is responsible for providing a dry and covered outdoor space (porch cover or a tent) where the chef and grill will work. If the weather is too severe to ensure outdoor safety, we will attempt to work with you based on our rescheduling policy.
Q: Do I need to purchase the food and alcohol?
We bring all the fresh food, as well as the chef and grill. As a host, you just need to provide the seating, tables, dishes, cutlery, and drinks. Most hosts like this because it means they can make it a BYOB event, which is way cheaper than a restaurant bar.
Q: How many guests can you serve?
We mainly focus on events with 10 or more guests, but we can also do larger events with several chefs and grills. If you need a specific quote for a larger event or corporate event, please reach out to us.
Q: How much in advance do I need to book?
Dallas can get busy, and to make sure you get your desired date, especially for the weekends, we suggest booking 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
