Luxembourg-based Boundary Holding, founded by Rajat Khare, continues to shape the global deep-tech landscape through focused investments in AI, robotics, and automation. The firm recently announced a successful exit from U.S.-based AI video intelligence company Cynapse Private Limited, marking a significant milestone and opening a new phase of reinvestment and innovation.
Founded in 2016, Cynapse developed advanced AI video intelligence solutions that combine computer vision and generative AI, processing nearly one million video hours per month. Its platform enables real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, natural language search, and event summarization across cloud, edge, and on-premise environments. Cynapse’s technology has been widely adopted in critical infrastructure sectors such as airports, smart cities, ports, and public transport, achieving over 95% accuracy in identifying anomalies and compliance breaches.
Boundary Holding invested in Cynapse in 2019, recognizing its strong dual-use potential across public safety and commercial markets. Over five years, the company recorded close to 200% CAGR, expanded globally, strengthened enterprise and government partnerships, and launched cyVisionGPT, a vision-language AI enhancement.
The 2025 exit delivered multiple returns and exceeded Boundary Holding’s target IRR. Rajat Khare emphasized that the exit represents not an end, but a reinvestment opportunity into future-defining technologies such as quantum computing, edge computing, autonomous systems, and AI-driven automation.
This milestone reinforces Boundary Holding’s disciplined investment strategy and its growing role as a global deep-tech venture capital leader.
